Since youth John has had an interest in photography and the ability of a single still frame to tell a unique story. During his senior year in high school in Michigan's Lower Peninsula John picked up a video camera for the first time and instantly fell in love with the medium and how the linking together of moving pictures could capture and convey so much emotion.
After completing high school John attended Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts where he further honed his story telling ability while studying television broadcasting. Once completing the Television Broadcasting program at Specs, he worked a series of unrelated jobs before returning to school in order to pursue a degree.
In 2009 John enrolled at Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills Michigan where he began completing classes toward an Associate of Applied Science in Photography. It wasn't long though before John took an elective class in filmmaking which rekindled his passion for capturing memories through digital video.
He quickly set his sights higher and, in 2011, left Oakland to pursue his Bachelors Degree at Northern Michigan University. While enrolled at Northern John studied everything from art and design to marketing before finally deciding on a major in Media Production and New Technology where he began perfecting his craft.
Also, while at Northern John met his significant other, and better half, Christy Miller. John met Christy when she was an R.A. when he began his time at Northern but it wasn't until 2013, when she returned to Northern as an R.D., that they began their relationship as a couple. In 2015 John graduated from Northern with his Bachelor of Science Degree and, with Christy by his side, began contemplating his future employment possibilities.
John soon began working in order to stay in Marquette with Christy and, after nearly a year of working outside of his industry, began working as a videographer at a local tv station. This gave John the opportunity to work in his chosen field and perfect his skills as a storyteller while acquiring the equipment he needed in order to pursue his greatest dream; telling people's stories while working for himself.
After over a decade of acquiring the skills and equipment necessary, John, encouraged by Christy, is ready to offer his unique skills and perspective to those who wish to have their special memories captured and preserved as a digital film that can be viewed and relived at any time desired.
